Former Destiny’s Child member and Beyoncé’s BFF, Kelly Rowland, can’t contain her excitement and recently weighed in on the birth of baby Blue Ivy Carter.??
“She is just more precious than a diamond. She is just so stunning. I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. She’s beautiful,” Kelly told E! News.
Jay Z and Beyoncé welcomed a beautiful baby girl earlier this month. The anticipated arrival was not without drama. The couple reportedly rented the entire floor of Lenox Hill Hospital on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Many patients and staff members complained of heightened security. E! News reported that baby Blue Ivy arrived via a scheduled C-section and came a month before her expected February due date.
Kelly reported that mommy Beyoncé and daddy Jay-Z are doing just fine and she’s bubbling over with pride toward her life-long friend.
??“She’s an incredible mother. I’m so incredibly proud of her. So proud of her! She’s in mommyville and I’m so happy for her. And her husband’s in daddyville and the baby is very beautiful. Beautiful!”
Kelly was all smiles when discussing meeting baby Carter for the first time. She said that her and former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams were in awe and could not help but stare at the beautiful baby. ??“We all just stared at her,” she smiled. “I just stared at her. She is so beautiful.”
Sean Paul teams up with velvety-voiced Kelly Rowland on his latest single, ‘How Deep Is Your Love.’ (No, it’s not a Bee Gees cover!) Paul has described the midtempo come-on song as “definitely a dance hall track,” and he’s right on the money.
The track opens with synths and an “oh whoa-oh-oh” hook that kicks in just before the beat drops. Paul’s signature lightning-speed rhymes are in full force here, rapping so fast it’s hard to make out a lot of his verses — he’s so quick that it’s almost exhausting to keep up with him. It’s safe to say he’s trying to woo Rowland, as one of the clearest enunciated lines is “Girl, you are the hottest thing around here.”
Rowland’s smooth vocals put the listener at ease when she takes over for the hook. “How deep is your love / How deep does it go” she implores the lucky gent. ”How deep is your love / Let’s explore / How deep is your love / How deep does it go / ‘Cause mine run down to the ocean floor.”
Paul goes back to work until Rowland takes over on the bridge. “I don’t wanna be the chick / that you call in the middle of the night / that you share your bed with,” she sings. You tell ‘em, Kel! Rowland lets her voice soar for the end of the bridge into the end of the next chorus, evoking her massive collaboration with David Guetta, ‘When Love Takes Over.’
‘How Deep’ will appear on Paul’s new album, Tomahawk Technique, scheduled to hit shelves Jan. 30. The track is a catchy, mellow, but ultimately forgettable listen that lacks the catchiness we’re used to hearing from both stars — but we could still easily hear this on heavy rotation. We’re just spoiled because we know what they’re capable of!

Destiny’s Child are thought to have reunited last week after Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams visited new mum Beyoncé.
According to The Sun, Kelly and Michelle popped over to Queen B and hubby Jay-Z’s New York home to see Blue Ivy Carter, showing the couple their support since the birth of their first child earlier this month.
A source told the tabloid: “They’re still really close and the girls couldn’t wait to see Blue.
“They started a little singsong and it was just like old times. It was like they got back together.”
